Case Consultation
If you are a licensed psychotherapist, peer consultation and supervision are an important resource supporting effective and ethical practice as a therapist.
As a seasoned professor, lecturer and supervisor, I'm happy to contribute to the practices of my colleagues who are licensed psychotherapists through case consultation. I will help you to conceptualize your cases, determine effective psychotherapeutic interventions, and advise on tactical questions about boundaries, processing transference and countertransference issues. I prefer to perform case consultation in a process-oriented way.... meaning we include aspects of your own personality and being in the work, with the goal of adapting your professional work as a meaningful amplification of who you are.
Theoretical Model
My consultation work is inspired by my preferred treatment model, which is broadly psychodynamic and informed by psychoanalytic, intersubjective, and Jungian perspectives. Regardless of your own chosen theoretical orientation or treatment model, I am confident that principles of psychodynamically informed psychotherapy will enhance your practice.
Fees
My rate for case consultation is $160 per hour. I prefer to work on a regular basis with you in order to be most effective. I provide this service only to independently licensed psychotherapists.
Supervision
When time permits, I am interested in supervising pre-licensed psychotherapists who are in school (practicum) or gaining hours towards licensure (internship). Supervisions agreements must be drawn up to ensure credit. Please contact me with any questions.
